Anifest India 2007 - Event Plan

It is for the first time ever in India that an Animation festival is going to have an education track. TASI takes a very holistic view towards animation and we strive to involve all those who are connected to the industry in some form or other and animation educators are a key element of this machinery. Along with the professional sessions, this year we are extending the platform to animation education. Premiere schools and educators from all over India and abroad are coming and will be encouraged to present their approach and viewpoints. They will also showcase their best student films. The presentations will cover animation filmmaking, software training, communication design, as well as workshops for children! It will be a great platform for teachers to voice their opinions and suggestions. Future animation students as well as educators/trainers will get to see the variety in the approaches to animation education.

The professional sessions this year, also have new subjects so far untapped in animation at the festival level: pixillation, animation in advertising, scriptwriting, game design and award winning case studies. Some of the stalwarts of the respective fields are going to make presentations. Not worth missing at all!
