Rules & Regulations:

  • Films sent as entries will be added to the TASI archives.
  • TASI reserves the right to use any/all of the entries for its promotional activities.
  • Students have to provide letter from their institute certifying validity of film(s) for
    student category.
  • TASI reserves the right to accept/reject entries at its discretion.
  • The Viewer’s Choice Award consists of one single trophy per category.
  • For group projects, individual citations for each member of the winning entry will
    be awarded.
  • In case of a tie, one winner per category will be decided by members of TASI
    managing committee.
  • Each film to be submitted along with its respective entry form duly filled.
  • Decision of the society regarding any/all of the above will be final and binding on all parties without prejudice
  • FOR THE NEW CATEGORY: Only those films made excusively by teachers / trainers will qualify for the ‘Films by Teachers / Trainers’ category. No part of the visuals may be created / assisted by any person(s) who is not a practicing teacher / trainer

• The prizes have to be collected from TASI by the winners within 30 days from Anifest India 2009, failing which TASI reserves the right to award the winnings to the next best film

    VFX work is also welcome - Since you are a student, please send it in the Student Films category. Make sure it complies with all the rules and regulations of TVCA, which are mentioned on the TVCA page.

    i am juhi this thing is very helpful 4 develop visualisasion
    and many more.this is the chance for the students to develop themselves.i am also the student of MAAC.i have quick creative mind for stories and concepts but can not develop them on screen as a movie or else because the lack of sources so what should i do to develop them.can u arrange such kind of awards or competition for story writing.

    If you have an animation film or exercise made using CG compositing, you could surely send it.

    if the film has been created inhouse by you guys, then you could send it under the Professional Independent films category. All the best and hope to see your film soon!

    In our past events we have had sessions on script writing for animation. This year at Anifest India we have a session on the importance of story telling in animation. So dont miss that for sure!! Also, Nate Wragg from Pixar will be sharing original Concept Art from Ratatouille!!

    @ Harshit - Yes you can submit more than one film in one category. However you need attach seperate registration form for each resp. film.

    i am sorry we arent accepting films above 10 min. however i request you to still send it. if the film is exceptional, then the pre selection jury members might recommend a special screening of your film!

    no you dont have to be registered to send your film. there is no entry fee for sending your films.

    you can definitely send in your films. TVCA is open to all animation film makers across the globe. Hope to see your films!

    Hi Herin,
    yes you can send your films with pre rigged characters. dont forget to acknowledge the riggers though!
    If you are a student, then send under the student category. You dont have to be an ‘animation’ student.

    Hi Ridhi,
    If you are a student, then send your film under the student category. The independent category is for professionals.

    hi priti,
    you can send your films under the ‘independent professional’ category then. if you aren’t a student, then you qualify to be a professional! or if you are still studying enter it in the ’student category’. you don’t need to be a student of ‘animation’ to enter in the student category!!
